SUBJECT [CIGAR]
Perdomo Champagne 10th Anniversary - Connecticut wrapper, mild to medium body with creamy, buttery notes
PAIRING [SPIRIT]
Noah's Mill Bourbon - 114.3 proof, bold Kentucky straight bourbon with intense oak and spice
ANALYSIS / NOTES
Noah's Mill proved too strong for this delicate cigar. The high proof bourbon overpowered the Perdomo's subtle Connecticut wrapper characteristics. That said, the experience was still pleasant - the champagne's natural sweetness managed to cut through the bourbon's intensity. The creamy notes from the cigar provided a nice contrast to the oak-forward whiskey. This pairing taught me that sometimes gentler cigars need gentler pours, but there's value in the learning experience.

SUBJECT [CIGAR]
Montecristo White Label - Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, medium body with notes of cream, nuts, and subtle pepper
PAIRING [SPIRIT]
Don Julio Añejo Tequila - Aged 18 months in oak barrels, smooth with notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak
ANALYSIS / NOTES
This combination was absolutely fantastic. The Don Julio Añejo elevated every note from the Montecristo without overpowering it. The tequila's caramel sweetness brought out the cigar's creamy character, while the oak aging complemented the wrapper's subtle complexity. What made this pairing exceptional was the perfect balance - neither the cigar nor the tequila dominated. Every draw revealed new layers as the flavors intertwined. The nutty undertones from the White Label danced with the vanilla notes in the añejo, creating a harmonious experience from start to finish. A textbook example of how the right pairing can enhance both elements.
